Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in Canterbury

Canterbury is a city of two housing markets, and they need different things from us. There is the student side — thousands of rooms across HMOs and purpose-built blocks that all change hands within a few weeks of each other — and there is everything else: Georgian and Victorian terraces inside the city walls, and modern family estates spreading out towards Sturry, Thanington and Hersden.

We already run student accommodation contracts in the city, so the summer changeover is familiar work: a lot of rooms, a hard deadline, and carpets that have had a full academic year of wear.

Student lets and HMOs

Between late June and mid-September, landlords and agents need rooms turned around fast and to a standard that will not get argued about at check-in. We can work through a property room by room, or take a whole block on a schedule.

• Room-by-room carpet cleaning across HMOs
• Communal stairs, corridors and shared lounges
• Sofas and armchairs in shared living space, which take the worst of it
• Whole-block scheduling across the summer window
• Invoicing per property or on one account

City-centre period homes

Inside the walls the houses are older and the staircases are tighter. Georgian and Victorian terraces around the Dane John, St Dunstan’s and Wincheap often have original boards with wool rugs over them, and listed-building constraints on what you can do. We test first and choose the method to suit — low-moisture where a soaked carpet would be a problem.

Offices and hospitality

Canterbury has a dense commercial centre: professional offices, hotels, restaurants and cafes, plus the cathedral visitor trade. We clean out of hours as standard so nothing interrupts trading.
