Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in Herne Bay

Herne Bay is ten minutes along the coast from our base in Whitstable, so CT6 is one of the areas we get to most often and at short notice.

The housing here skews older than the rest of east Kent — a lot of bungalows, retirement flats and long-held family homes where the same carpet has been down for fifteen or twenty years. That changes the job. A carpet that has been in place that long is rarely stained so much as uniformly greyed, and the difference after extraction tends to surprise people. It also means being careful: older carpets, older backings, and sometimes furniture that has not moved in a decade.

What we clean in Herne Bay

• Bungalows and retirement flats, including sheltered schemes
• Seafront and Downs apartments
• Long-tenure family homes where the carpet has never been professionally cleaned
• Victorian terraces around the town centre and Mortimer Street
• Newer estates towards Greenhill and Broomfield
• Care homes, community halls and seafront hospitality

Working around less mobile customers

A fair share of our Herne Bay work is for older customers, and we try to make it easy rather than disruptive. We move what needs moving and put it back, we tell you honestly how long a room will be out of use, and we will happily talk a family member through the job on the phone if they are arranging it from elsewhere. Every technician is DBS-checked, which matters more than usual when you are letting someone into the house of an elderly relative.

Sea air and damp

Coastal properties hold moisture, and carpets near the front dry more slowly than they would inland. We plan for it — more air movement, and honest drying estimates rather than optimistic ones.
